Hmmm.  Well, I think Tiana and I posted a previous message a few months ago about our second cousin, Lieutenant Colonel Pamela Melroy, who is an astronaut  Anyway, here is a few pics of her during a training session and some preflights. In the first one below, she is the woman who appears like she is floating 
She is going up into space on September 21, 2000, 3:55 a.m EDT for an estimated duration of ten days . . .
. . . and she will be the pilot of the shuttle STS-92. They will land again on October 2, 5:11 p.m. This is the her again with the NASA Mission Specialist from Japan, Koichi Wakata, who is another member of the shuttle team.
The purpose of their mission is help in the assembly of the NASA Space Station. Yes, yes, I am bragging, but heck, who wouldn't brag with an austronaut for a cousin :P I am probably going to end up being a garbage man or something, hehe [This message has been edited by Spartacus (edited 19 May 2000).] IP: 24.237.58.18 |
