.-*' Greh, Why not? '*-.'Left! I said take a left.'
'Keep your shirt on, we'll still get there.'
'Not with the way you're driving. Do you even have your eyes open or are you pretending to be a jedi.'
'What are you talking about, I am a jedi.'
'Just pull over, I want to get out.'
'But we're still 3 klicks from your destination.'
'It'd be safer if I walked.'
'If you say so.'
'Did the phrase, tap lightly on the brakes mean anything to you?'
'About as much as, "That'll be 240" means to you.'
'Greh, why not. I'm still alive.'
'Thanks.'
'You had to stop right in front of the biggest puddle didn't you?'
He didn't hear that last comment, as he had taken off down to pick up his next victim.
Endless technology in the universe at their disposal of these cretons, and they still make it rain. He glanced up at the sky, felt the cold breeze creep up his neck, grabbed his bags and continued on his way.
'Watch it stiff.'
'My most humble apologies.' He nodded slightly and continued on his way. He hadn't see rain like this for years. All the places he had been, it just poured, but this was a slight rain.
It took him about 30 mins to get to his destination, a rickety old building, that looked like it was about to fall over. But it did fit in well with the rest of the area.
Oh well, better make the most of it. He took a deep breath and a firmer grip on his bags and walked up to the front door.
Knock, Knock.
'*Pzzbbt* Who *crackle* you? *Pzzbbt*'
'M-My name is Porgie. I have business with Rho.'
'*Pzzbbt* Porgie huh? You must *crackle* with Rho *Pzzbbt* *Pzzbt* we'll send *crackle* you *Pzzbt*'
Two minutes later, the door opened and a droid stood in front of him.
'Gracious me, it's raining. Please come in.'
'Thank you.' He stepped inside.
'Please follow me.' The droid started to head towards the far end of the hallway with him following. The doors opened, and they both entered. The doors closed, and the lift started to descend.
'When do you think that I'll be able to meet Rho?'
The droid turned slowly, the servos grinding with each movement. 'So eager to get to your work with her? She asked me to show you to your room first. Do you not want to get out of your wet clothes and get some rest so that you will be ready to start your work?'
'But I have learned to live without sleep a long time ago.'
'Then I regret to inform you that Rho will not be ready for you until the morning. She is a very busy woman.'
'Yes I understand, I've had a long days of travelling and should sleep.'
The lift finally stopped, and the doors opened. Walking out of the lift, he felt like he was in a different world. It was cleaner in more ways than you could imagine, the air even smellt cleaner than above. He tried to keep his shock under control.
'Interesting. Rho was right, your eyes do give you away.'
He smiled. The droid walked up to an undistinguishable door, punched several buttons on the pad to the right. The door opened.
'Your room, Porgie.'
'Thanks.'
'Make yourself at home. I will come around to get you in the morning.' When the droid walked away, the door closed. He tried to walk after her, but the doors wouldn't open.
You're a prisoner, but make yourself at home. I like how this place works.
He sat down and started to unpack. The room was one of the largest, and spacious rooms he had ever been in. Very little furniture was in the room. Just a bed, a table, and a dresser for his clothes. He laid his last suitcase on the table, carefully. Then he headed over to the bed.
Just need to rest my eyeszzzzzzzz.
