Instead of waking up to my ussual alarm clock I was awakened by the klaxon of the PLT Despot.

I could tell immediatly from the way the platform was shaking from the impacts of warheads and turbo lasers that it was a rebel assault force. Rebel turbolasers packed a little more impact than imperial equivelants but sacraficed range in doing so.

The empty hanger bays told me that the stations defenses had already been launched and must be having a hard time fighting off the attackers based on the fact that the rebels were still hitting the station.

"What the?!?!" I muttered to myself before realizing the lights were going out due to ion cannon fire.

I equiped myself for battle in my ussual way, except I decided to trade my two duel pistols for something with a bit more firepower. So I selected my twin M-Tech M-105 super heavy blasters.

I new my efforts were not wasted when I saw an ATR approaching the hanger and the spattering of laser fire as the valiant station defenders blew a pair of A-wings out of our space.

Their efforts would be in vain if I let this ATR unload it's cargo of troops and the troops were successfull in getting past the few stormtroppers kept here.

With my command detonated explosives and trip mines in place I waited for the ATR to start letting it's troops out.

The ATR came to a sudden stop right inside the hanger and then the troops started filling out.

I trigired my first explosive and grinned evily as five troopers went down and four more ran into one of my trip mines, those are fun little buggers. With the odds steadilly growing to my favor I waited for another group to get close enough to my second command detonated explosive and trip mine.

The rebels fell for it and I triggered my second explosive and watched as six more rebels hit the ground and three more finding my remaining trip mine the hard way.

That left about 70 or so troopers advancing toward my position. All I had left was my blasters, lightsaber, ion rifle, and two frag grenades.

I knew until the fighter pilots finished up and the stormtroopers finished with the other boarders I would be on my own.

I made sure my cover was good and my grenades were properly painted and let one fly into a cluster of ten. All ten were down and now the rest of the troopers now knew for certain that there was a defender in the hanger with them.

They were putting on there thermal scanners right about now and should be returning fire shortly, so I sent my other grenade into another cluster. Six went down and blaster fire splattered across my cover in return.

My cover wouldn't last long under the return fire and I was completly pinned down.

I hope the rebels were dumb enough to only send two transports instead of the ussual three, other wise I would not be in the service of the empire come tommarrow one way or the other.

I set my rifle up to start firing and suddenly blaster fire came from behind me into the rebel troops and I knew once again that luck had saved my hide for atleast a few minutes.

I joined the stormtroopers and started dropping the rebels like flies under the superior skill and luck of the empire.

Though it figures that I would get good results with the last of my explosives. Memo to self: make more explosives from materials on hand.

Soon my comlink clicked to life and Threeof 4's voice came over the link.

"Daishi, I need you to get the power systems back on-line while we get rid of the rest of the boarders."

"Roger that, I'm on my way now."

The power sytem was a mess but I could fix it, after all it was my job to fix things not to repell boarders.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

The Alarm Clock pounded in Sithspawn's ears as he fought to stay asleep. Reaching over to the nightstand, he slammed his fist down, hoping to quell that infernal noise.

As his fist shattered the wine glass on the nightstand, Sithspawn suddenly remembered that he didn't own an alarm clock. As his eyes snapped open, the shrill klaxon continued sounding, as the PLT Despot shook beneath him.

Rolling over to glance at the women laying in bed next to him, still peacefully sleeping, Sithspawn sighed, and vowed serious pain to whomever had set off the alarms again. Perhaps it was Sesswanna, in some misguided surprise exercise, perhaps Vice Admiral Donitz had gotten into an explosives locker again, or perhaps Crysus had been attempting to cook breakfast again, and the PLT was on fire.

Sithspawn grumbled as he pulled his Commando armor on quickly.
"Spend one night becoming an engineer, meet a woman, seduce her, and then getting roused before dawn by some godforsaken alarms."

As Sithspawn pulled his helmet on, he quickly hooked into the Platform's comlink, trying to gain some idea of what was going on. He quickly devised that they were under attack from a group of Rebels. "Rebels in the Lorn system," he thought, "odd, I thought I quelled all the NR loyalists."

As he grabbed his blaster rifle, the platform shook, and the woman rolled out of bed and crashed to the floor with a groan. Sithspawn winced, shrugged, and ran out the door.

As he stepped out of the room, Sithspawn tried to raise the Treason on his comlink, and was successful.

As Sithspawn casually strolled down the corriders, he gave orders to rouse the Treason's crew and deploy to the Lorn system.

Rounding the corner, Sithspawn snapped up his blaster, to come face-to-face with...Daishi? The Senior Engineer was leading a squad of Stormtroopers, so Sithspawn threw a sarcastic salute, and fell in line with the stormtroopers.

"Alright, auxillary power is back on-line now we need to clear out the rest of the boarders." I barked to the stormtroopers and Sythspawn as we mached toward Hanger B.

We entered the hanger to see one ATR still on the ground and another taking off. The spattering of blaster fire was still ensuing between the stormtroopers allready present and the rebel boarders.

"Engage!" I shouted as I fired a shot into a rebel square in his back and dove for cover.

The blaster fire sudennly split to four ways instead of two.

I started to circle around to the right as Sythspawn circled to the left. I sent another trooper down as I hit my next cover.

To be continued

I found myself behind one of the few remaining rebel troopers as I came around a stack of experimental warheads.

I tapped the rebel twice on the back of its helmet to let it know I was there.

"Surrender now." I said in my monotone voice as the rest of the rebels went down under the combined firepower of two detatchments of stormtroopers and Sythspawn's fire.

"Sythspawn, I beleive you are the resident expert in interogation so I leave this prisoner in your capable hands. Be sure to get something usefull out of it before you blast it."

After leaving the rebel prisoner in Sythspawn's custody I proceeded to board the grounded ATR.

Somehow I expect there to something more to the design.

Now I see it.

"OH FRAK!"

The clatter of my double barreled blaster rifle hitting the floor was quickly fallowed by the charastic hum of my ion rifle blasting. Fortunately it did stop the self-destruct device itself, but it did not stop the primer explosion that would have started a chain reaction if I had not just disabled the power cupling the device was hidden under.

*THUDDDDSCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...*

I got off the hanger floor and proceeded to examine my armor for damage. No leaks at least but it would need repairs anyway. I'm starting to like this suit of marine combat armor.

I walked over to the rack of new TIE designs and began to inspect them. The rebels came here for a reason and I'm going to figure it out as well. Something about the TIE in front was wrong somehow....
