After a weeks worth of deliberation, and many talks with commanders about who is to be our next elite squad�We have finally come to a decision. I would just like to say this has been a VERY close call and you couldn�t ask for a better competition to decide who is to be ELITE! There were 3 squads in the running for elite status. Iron Horse, Raiders and Fallen Angels. I�m glad to report that the Fallen Angels �Stormed� ahead in the storyline, for their posts and amount of squad activity was by far the best. But with the absence of single player and multiplayer games it quickly took them out of the race... So then there were two... Iron Horse and Raiders... After closely looking at the Single Player and Multiplayer rounds, it was clear that Raiders were ahead, but Iron Horse just behind by a point or two. The most trouble some part was the grading of the �Other� category. But after careful talks with the High Command I think we have come up with the best and fairest results. So without further ado...The winner of the Elite Squad Competition, and the title of being the ELITE squad of the Vast Empire Army goes to... Iron Horse!!! Congratulations to Timber Saden and his squad for a very fine performance. And thanks goes to Raiders squad who made it a very close and very exciting to watch. In my eyes, we really do have two elite squads. Both squads have shown themselves capable of the title. I am very pleased with the amount of activity that came out of it and I�d like to congratulate all members on a job well done The ESC official Site has all the posted scores, so each squad can see how I have graded it. Hey i just wanted to say Congradulations to my fellow squad-mates the Elite Iron Horse. We did a great job. But i also wish to say to Cosmic, great job, i know you put everything you had into this competetion, and that you deserve this as much as we do, if not more, just because of your effort and heart you showed *Jubei salutes Cosmic* And also thank you Anakin and TJ and the HC for allowing us to show off our skills and show off our eliteness (if that's even a word) Fallen Angels, as for you, you also did a great job surging back at then end like that. You gave all of us a run for our money. I don't want to gloat, but i feel i have to, because it feels sooooo good to win, so.... Yes, a very noble task it was to compete with the best squads I've ever faced. You have shown great courage, discipline, and respect in this competition. I had told a former SL of Raiders that I would turn this squad into a greatness she has never before seen...to be Elite. To have the honor of having the Raiders (Elite) status right next to her name. As the decision and points result, I am sorry for not keeping my word *you know who you are*. I must be frank. After the announcement today by Anakin saying that Iron Horse had won, I was devistated. I sat in front of my computer crying (seriously). I put my whole heart and soul into this competition...so much that my dad got onto me...I really missed out because my mouse was totally messed up for an entire week, and I haven't been able to do anything... I ..well..I admit...I failed. I'm sorry Raiders. I have disappointed you. If only I had those seven days might we just be the Elite ones ourselves. I know how you guys feel, as I am feeling it myself...and probably will for the next couple of days...3-4 weeks of nonstop-on-all-day posting, JKing, SPing, to find out the outcome of losing...it's hard. But thank you Jubei for saying those words about me. I really appreciate it. You know Cos, i'm sure there's room for you in IH  ....besides, you failed noone. You can't do everything for your squad, Look at IH... 1026 was on leave for 3/4 of the thing, Timber posted 3 times!!! hes our squad leader... Japer went on leave, i went on leave, Japer and I stepped it up b/c we had the desire to...For almost a week i weas the only IH member not on leave!!!... One person does not a team make... ok so don't take it out hard on yourself, if u ask me, you did the best, and the most out of anyone in all of VEA for this thing... so don't despair. It took everything we had from Japer, 1026, Dez and Me to win this thing, take a look at the times on some of my posts, 4:00am, 1:00 am 6:00am, i went insane there. hey Cosmic calm down if it was anyone's fault it was ours not yours, if i had posted alot more as you said we could have won. You put enough effort in to almost beat the elite squad on your own! Hey Cos, I agree with Raz and Jubei, that story about the mouse is getting old because you can use you tab key and all to get to the post. The point is though, like you said, which is true you and me and G5 sometimes should not be the only ones posting. Sorry, to the rest of the squad, but I think its true. IF we all posted as a team we would have gotten more of a percent on our storyline score. Seriously though Cos, CRYING in front of a computer? How old are you now? 2? Crying is for babies, and the Raiders are not babies! That is pathetic! I am disapointed that we lost, but I am not going around crying. I know you put a lot more effort into it than I did, seeing that I did not come till the second page of posts, but still I worked hard to make up for it. How are we supposed to look if our Squad leader looks like a baby?! There will be more competitions and other things we can beat IH at but you shouldn't get all upset cause we lost. My sister, who is 10 acts more mature than you do! Yeah, cheer up Cos, at least your squad came close to beating IH plus u got some active troops in your squad. Good job to everyone who participated in the ESC, it was a good competition that showed who is really the "best of the best" Congratulations to the still Elite Iron Horse squad, you proved that you deserve that title. And 'cudos' to the Raiders and Fallen Angels, a battle well faught. Keep in mind the Iron Horse are only the elite squad until another one can step up and prove they are more determined and better than them. So be prepared! Good job everybody *On a side note, just to refresh everyones memories and maybe let some of the new members know. The "title" of elite isn't just defended w/ a few competitions and that's it. Another squad can challenge the Elite squad whenever they want and then the AHC will set up a competition for the squads. Worry a lot cause I think I am going to be making some changes in the FA to get some people out that don't even belong in there anymore(considering who I am talking about can't even read this right now, and hasn't been able to for a while and will not be able to in the near future, I think it is the only fair thing to do when weighed against the interests of the squad). There was twelve now there are eleven. Hopefully next time there is a comp there will be some SC so the FA will at least stand a chance at winning it(sorry but we are not JK players for the most part). To the Raiders, next time we'll use the other halves. To the Panthers, we'll just have to think of a new prank for you. To the AHC and HHC, at least it wasn't a bed with a horse's head in it. To everyone else, watch out cause the ESC is over and we don't have any missions to keep us occupied instead of pulling pranks right now. Well Jedi, since you are practically new here, you really don't know how I truely feel...but, I am way older than ten Plus, I spent a WHOLE lot of time in ESC, so in part, it does mean a lot to me and what the results were. Yet you were still able to talk to us Cos in the mIRC chat rooms and u would suddenly say:"Aw crap my mouse froze!" if you didn't say it there you said it on the zone in a zm! Either way the story is getting OLD! Well Jedi, the reason I was able to go on IRC is that I didn't use my mouse when I restart my computer. I simply tab my way through. On Athran's note about challenging the Elite squad. Raiders, I'm pretty much encouraging you to do it. When the Elite squad/squadron were first named my Navy Squadron had been beaten out, so I talked it over with my squadron, we challenged the Elite and overthrew them.
