Now granted most ideas are good ones, but this is your chance to get some edge in on what the Vast Empire should be focusing on.

The Vast Empire is a gamin club. Granted Most of you aren't on IRC as much as some of the rest of us, but we try to get gaming in as much as possible, especially now after each meeting. I would like this to continue, but I want to know what you guys think we should do to make this more accepted in the VE, instead of being done by the people that actually are on IRC.

The battle board was a start, and right now, it's not doing to well. I was wondering what you guys suggest would help to bring the battleboard back into popularity?

While I'm on vacation I have been doing some work on the roster as well as working on some of the casino games that will be brought out in the near future. A couple of thigns that I have been working on is comign up with new games for the Casino. So far on my list: Sabacc, Poker (right now it's video), Blackjack, Bacaret, Craps (and the old version of craps was way to easy, now that I know how to play it, it's going to be much harder), Slot machines, and rouleete. Now What I want to know is if any of you are interested in possibly coming up with pictures or graphics that could help me speed up the process of getting games out to the public.

Other things, that you guys want to bring up? please post onto this.

I should be getting a lot of writing done while I'm flying back and forth, so we will see what new things you guys come up with, as well as some of the things that the HC has been working on.

Thanks

Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year.

How bout we send people a bag of your toenail clippings for whenever they play ten games on the battle board :P
nobody would reply to me whenever i challenged on the BB anyways. I'd say start updating RPG ranks when we get the RPG board to run and promotions or madals for games
i think we should set up a monthly quota forIRC like having to at least visit and get to know people 4 times a month or something. We could use a bot to keep the list up. IRC activity is important and once you use it once it's really fun and addictive so everybody d/l it here
and if the link don't work it's mirc.com so everyone get it that hasn't.

i know im a newbie to VE but i aint a newbie in commanding. Why doesnt the Cos of every unit have meetings then after the meetings there should be some training. Also im not trying to sound like an *** but, what is the RPG posting about if you dont play. i see the stories but none the people played to make RPG.. realy RPG. Kahljorn and I have been talking to Kip about this and Kip has agreed to our little plan > . Hopfully this will bring out more gaming. Also, if a person is inactive u not scrub them from the roster. When i was Xo of imperial navy i took a tough stand on inactiveness and altho im a nice guy, when it comes to commanding i was a big ******* and giving my commanders crap for allowing inactivity.

i know im sounding like i am all high and mighty, but in my view thats the wayit had to be done. il tell you what i did when i first got into second incommand of the navy. When i was given the position the there was 3 pilots in the aussie sector, i built it up too 11 in 2 weeks couse of my tough stand, and most wasnt IRC guys but the did come to meeting and had fun. Again im offering suggestions, i joined VE becouse there are a lot of posibilties i can do with Kahljorns and Kips autho, LoD had some plans and it ill be fuffilled (Excuse the spelling). Kip likes the idea and most HC do also.

but back on track. Comanders shouldnt be scared to lay of some people. this does to things gets rid of people who r just floating.. and gives the COs spare time.

this is my view, VE isnt inactive like LSF, people in IRC still wanna play and they play hard. You can disrigared my post or take some things in its your choice. But all the things i said comes from experiance and you cant beet that

Elwapo out.

'wapo, I have always liked the idea of getting smaller meetings together besides the weekly meeting. I haven't been in the position to do so, but I do think it is a good idea. As for gaming, I use to play JK on the Zone all the time, but it wasn't as much fun as VE. I can't really talk now about ppl needing to play because I am unable to play JK (it stopped working). I do have MotS (come get some), TIE 95 and CD (somewhere), and Starcraft (I hope to play that soon). If I was in the position to start a gaming competition I would, but as CoT the only ppl I can do that to are the trainees (LOL) and as a DJK I can't do much, as a FL for Viper I can only do it to 3 ppl... kinda stinks cuz I've got some good ideas too.

Well the only real idea I have for bringing some activity into the BB is to borrow an idea from Battle Tech.

It is called the Solaris Grand Tournament. What would happen was that 64(I think) Mech Warriors would face off in one on one duels until there were only 32(I think again) left. The contestants would then wait four days for the next series of fights. The process would repeat one more time again halving how many participants were still able to compete, the next rest period would only be two days then, repeat process, finaly when only two remained they would only have one day of rest before thier climatic duel. If I remember the final purse correctly it comes to the equivelent of $18 million dollers U.S. current rate.

As part of this tournament you keep the salvage of your defeated opponent's mech and with each match and there would be a deceant sized purse for each match. Of course there was gambleing on who would win in each fight.

I was thinking to adapt this for the VE it would work best probably for XWA, maybe XvT. I'm not sure how we would work out the salvage part and these duels were one kill. Well it is just an idea.
