NAME THAT COUNTRY:

- 293,000 reserve troops;
- Eight standing army divisions;
- 20 air force and navy air wings with 2,000 combat aircraft;
- 232 strategic bombers;
- 13 strategic ballistic missile submarines with 3,114 nuclear warheads on 232 missiles;
- 500 ICBMs with 1,950 warheads;
- Four aircraft carriers, and;
- 121 surface combat ships and submarines, plus all the support bases,shipyards and logistical assets needed to sustain
such a naval force.

Is this country Russia? No
Red China? No
Great Britain ? Wrong Again
USA? Hardly
Give Up? Well, don't feel too bad if you are unable to identify this global superpower because this country no longer exists. It has vanished. These are the American military forces that have disappeared since President Bill Clinton was elected in the 1992 election. He practically liquidated a great section of the American army.

HOWEVER! Congress shuts down bases. Congress RIFs soldiers. Prior agreements and allies shut down bases, did away with old B-52s, ICBMs, and the like. The president sure as hell signed these. Presidents Reagan, Bush, AND Clinton and everyone before them.

The Army itself wanted reductions to concentrate on Light Infantry Units. The Navy of course is angry as it never has enough ships. The Air Force compromised in order to get F-22s. The Marines are used to getting the shaft.

As for Clinton not doing things alone, it is a common practice to associate the rulings/laws passed in a country to the government administration which served during that time span.

I do not blame Clinton --- I blame the people who control both "our" President, "our" Congress and "our" government.

Also, I never bring out the crosses and firebrands, I merely copy and paste articles out of newspapers
