Me thinks it should be SW Strategy gaming (Rebellion and Force Commander) with duties of updating the systems manual. Why not have polls related to the VE in general? For example, List all of the active squadrons and have people vote on which squadron should be considered elite? Or even better, List the divisions and have people vote on which one they think should receive the Division of the Year award? Mostly because I was creating a division for Strategy gaming to see how many people were for it. Right now it is tied between JK and FC. Anyway, yes, I could modify the poll to 'Which division should receive the Division of the Year' award, but I will do that pretty much after Sess announces the current poll to the Army and Navy. I kinda figured you could just add the poll and perhaps have a polling center website with past poll information there. .......... As for a new division - i'm pretty sure that whatever it's going to be that I will not support it. I was thinking of maybe asking people if they would like to expand the Vast Empire to other types of games (fantasy, other science fiction, etc etc) and that might require a new division. But as for another star wars division - everything that we could possibly need is in one of the existing divisions (EC, Navy, Army, Jedi). Now I might be interested in another star wars division if this was first implemented as a sub-division to an existing division and it was very successful. I never saw our intel work right so I pushed it down into the Army, but if it ever became so successful that it would require a division in itself I would re-think that too. So, if you are a little confused (and I'm starting to get confused so I'm sure others are). Here is the simple version of what I am trying to say: No new divisions unless it is successful as a sub-division first. We tried on numerous occasions to have a sub-RPG division and I am glad that I did not make it a division because it failed miserably. However, if you see differently you do have the option of presenting it before the High Council. Majority vote will win of course. However, my vote will be against it for the time being. Regardless - if you want to have another poll on whether or not we should have a non-star wars gaming division then that's kewl. I was thinking of doing something like that anyway. Well, that is pretty much what I had in mind. A sub-division for the Army and maybe partly for the Navy. Because the Rebellion players in both the Army and Navy are being totally snubbed so-to-speak. I was pondering asking Sess about opening a subdivision (reminiscent to the RPG subgroup) but whose main focus is Rebellion and Force Commander... and if it DID take off, then it could be presented to the High Council (it would probably not be accepted being Threeof4 seems against any new changes... then again Niksa, Christi and Sess were for it). As for the polls, what does everyone think of a poll for each division? I could design a website where each divisionary members could vote on a poll (that was changed every week) pertaining to their specific division. And we could also have a main poll which everyone could vote on (which would probably have the "Which division should receive the VE Division of the Year award?"). (I think that is what Majere is getting at anyway, and I think it is a pretty neat idea. So what does everyone else think? We could also incorporate into this polling site the 'VE Dude of the Month' and the 'VE Babe of the Month'.) IP: 24.237.11.25 |
