Lorn
Today training exercises has been going on all over the capitol system by order of Field Marshal Majere. He has stated that the public�s safety resides on everyone�s ability to protect themselves from any unwanted attacks. Although there is a minority of people who oppose such a disruption in their jobs everyone seems to agree that these training exercises are needed. Field Marshal Majere has not stated when these training exercises will end.
Erewhon
Today Judge Jenkins has sentenced Captain Perkins from the Corvette Stin to 30 years jail time starting now. Captain Perkins has been stripped of all titles, and all of his assets are being sold on the auction block to go towards the victim�s family. This news has shocked the citizens of the Vast Empire everywhere and they are demanding a retrial. Prosecutors for the Vast Empire have appealed the judge�s decision.
Gracchus
Today the new school on Gracchus has been opened. Hundreds of supporters attended todays celebration. Governor Prok gave an intense speech, which included the uncovering of a plaque memorial to honor the students lost in the blast last month.
Rilke
With the recent opening of Palpatines Casino, tourism has almost tripled making security a real threat. Governor Palc has approved an increase in police of 40 percent. The Army installation on Rilke has also been placed on a heightened state of alert until the local police are able to handle the situation.
Rodin
After weeks of intense attacks against Lord Blackstake�s palace the Army has finally captured the former Governor. Lord Blackstake is under intense interrogation and guard until he can be transferred to the prison on Lorn 4 where he will undergo trial for his crimes.
Vonsam
Although alert and security in the Vonsam system is high everyone is starting to go about his or her normal lives. Things seem extremely calm these days, which has the local authorities worried. The SSD Mustang is still in system protecting the Vonsam System from any attacks.
Vol
Fighting in the Vol System has intensified ten-fold in these last few weeks. An increase in weapon purchases has also increased tremendously which has the local authorities very worried. Smuggling operations has also increased. Some citizens from the Vol System are blaming the Vast Empire for supporting these smuggling as well as other covert operations against the local government in the Vol System. Field Marshal Majere has stated, �What we do in the Vol System to free its citizens from New Republic rule is currently classified. No further comment please.�

War with the UGR
According to my sources in the New Imperium the war against the UGR/New Republic is going very well. Although the Vast Empire is the staging point for this war the Intruder Wing has been the leader for all of the operations.

NI
Lots of discussions are currently going on in the New Imperium. Recent news is that the Crimson Strike Fleet has quit the New Imperium and is pulling all of its assets out of the region. Also rumors that Grand Master Sauron might be quitting is also reaching everyone�s ears which has a lot of people worried. Some say that the New Imperium might not last very long. However, after confronting Field Marshal Majere he stated, �The Vast Empire is very secure. Even if (and this is a big if) the New Imperium was to collapse the Vast Empire shall still continue to succeed.�
