Lorn
Today in the Lorn System not much is happening. Clear skies have allowed the busy people of Lorn to travel freely.
Erewhon
Captain Perkins from the Corvette Stin (the corvette involved in the accident with the naval frigate) is now in front of an Imperial judge. He is being tried for being under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. The lawyers representing the Vast Empire is seeking the death penalty.
Gracchus
Everyone seems to be humble recently in the Gracchus system. Numerous campaigns are under way to collect money for the victims and the school that were lost during a recent bombing. Rumors are spreading that this terrorist bombing were not caused by Clan Panther. It was caused by a group of individuals or organization with the initials �AD.�
Rilke
Now that the fertility festival is over the citizens of Rilke are now doing a mass cleanup effort. The local bars and clubs are full with people and businessmen and women who are preparing for the next festival. The festival of the moons will commence in approximately 2 weeks.
Rodin
Lord Blackstake�s army is still under attack from the Army. General Spartacus has started planning his strategy to enter the fortified palace. Numerous engagements have been noted with only a few reported deaths from both sides. General Spartacus has stated that these recent engagements were to see how well armed Lord Blackstake�s army is. When asked for specifics General Spartacus refused to comment.
Vonsam
Celebrations are starting to close down and people are returning to their jobs. An increase in construction workers have allowed the increase in production for the Vonsam System.
Vol
Hundreds of Vol citizens are being evacuated as we speak. Diplomats from all over the Vol System are pleading to the leaders of the Vast Empire and the New Republic to come to an agreement and a cease fire.

War with the UGR
Field Marshal Majere has stated that an attack is immanent, �An attack on the New Republic forces in the Vol system will be retreating within the week.�

NI
Although talks are going on with the New Imperium there are currently no news. Rumors are spreading that the New Imperium Senators are discussing a possible new war with an unknown enemy.

In other news I had an interview with General Spartacus from the Army. If anyone else out there would like for me to interview him or her please send me an e-mail to: [email protected]

1) Who are you and what is your job?
A: I am General Rark Spartacus. I am the Prefect of the Vast Empire Army.

2) How long have you been with the VE and how do you like it so far?
A: Well, I have been with the Vast Empire for over a year and a half or more. I think that it is a pretty good club.

3) What is the primary purpose of the Army?
A: The purpose of the Army is a ground-based force for which the Vast Empire can rely on. We usually invade, conquer, and garrison worlds. We are also garrisoned aboard Imperial Naval vessels to help defend them if the chance of the latters being boarded by pirates or rebels.
4) How does someone sign up for the Army and are there any requirements that I must have before signing up?
A: Recruits should goto http://www.vastempire.com/Join/ and follow the instructions from there. The only requirements are that you obey the club rules and have a ground-based LucasArts game to enlist in the Vast Empire Army.
5) How do you interact with the Engineering Corps and the Navy when it concerning protection and security?
A: With the Engineering Corps it is rather hazy. They usually equip us with the items we need to keep worlds secure. The Navy transport us to the worlds, and ward off any enemy craft that enter the system when we are fighting a battle on the planet below. Previous times have arisen in the history of the Old Republic, when the Navy deserted the Army during invasions. The Emperor, upon assuming power, enacted an order that the Navy must remain above the planet to guard the Army�s back. Since then the Army has had a higher respect for the Navy.
6) Who is giving you the most trouble right now? The New Republic, Clan Panther, or someone else?
A: Right now, inactive troopers are the basis of our problem. Troopers not doing their job. They have taken an oath to do everything in their power to serve and glorify the Empire, yet a minority of them refuse to do so. A trooper that does not do his job should not be allowed in the VE Army. If all the troopers did their job correctly --- were alert, active, ready, etc --- then the New Republic would be driven back to the unknown regions, and Coruscant would be ours again.
7) Do you have campaigns coming out anytime soon?
A: Yes, CEO Threeof4 has been extremely helpful concerning Army missions/campaigns. Currently, four projects are underway. I was just talking with Threeof4 yesterday concerning the layout of the missions, and serveral ideas. I am positive the VE Engineering Corps will turn out several superb Army missions.

A: Yes, several sections remains under construction.
