Lorn
Today in the Lorn System a group of pirates were captured near the Lorn 4 capitol. Security forces seized millions of Imperial Credits worth of narcotics and weapons in the nearby warehouse. Also in the warehouse plans to raid the Imperial Palace were being drawn up. Although the Security Forces captured about a dozen pirates it was evident that their leader escaped successfully. The seized narcotics will be sent to the burner and the weapons will be sent to the Army where they will be held until needed.
Erewhon
With the recent increase in traffic through the Erewhon System major accidents also increased. Today 2 civilian corvettes collided with a Naval Frigate almost destroying all three capitol ships. The captain of the corvettes has been detained pending investigation of the local security force in the Erewhon System. The Frigate will be undergoing repairs for the next 2 weeks while it�s cargo and passengers have been temporarily routed to other naval capitol ships.
Gracchus
A public school has been blown up today killing dozens of innocent children in what has been the biggest disaster since the assassination of the governor and his aids. Security forces are currently investigating the incident and they are asking that if anyone knows anything about what happened to please contact the nearest security post. So far nobody has claimed this incident but the security forces are saying that this incident belongs to Clan Panther. Clan Panther is a group that is backed by the New Republic, their goal is to destroy the Vast Empire and reclaim what they claim to be their worlds.
Rilke
Rilke held it�s annual fertility festival today in what is to be a weeklong celebration. A parade is planned for this Sunday so I encourage everyone to tune into VE1 at 10am LST for this exciting event.
Rodin
Rodin is still under a state of emergency after the seizure of all assets and belongings to former governor Lord Blackstake. Local authorities along with a Platoon from the Army have surrounded the governor�s palace and a fierce fight to enter the palace and destroy the Rodin police guarding the palace is still under way. General Spartacus, Prefect for the Army, has stated that everything is under control and Lord Blackstake will be taken into custody very soon.
Vonsam
Celebrations are still going on throughout the Vonsam System. Field Marshal Majere by request of the Vonsam Citizens has authorized 2 more weeks of celebrations to commence. So if you are looking for a good time I highly recommend you take a visit there.
Vol
With the exception of the fleeing New Republic citizen�s things are very quiet in the Vol System. Taskforces from the New Imperium as well as the United Galactic Republic seem to be sitting on the outskirts of the system. This stalemate is not expected to last long so the local security force is continuing its efforts to vacate as many citizens as it can before the war actually starts.

War with the UGR
With the exception of a few minor skirmishes along the New Republic and Vast Empire supply lines no real news to report as of yet. I am having problems getting through to the Points Master that records all of the battles but as soon as I do hear from him I will let everyone know what is going on.

NI
Along with a Taskforce from the Vast Empire and the Society of Shadows, the IW is also considering sending a taskforce to the Vol System. So far they have collected about 4 capitol ships and they are waiting official approval from FA Stan before entering hyperspace. FM Majere is still negotiating with the CSF and the DLSF for some help from them as well.

Interview with FM Majere
My interview with Field Marshal Majere was very short but also very interesting. When I arrived at his office in the Lorn 4 capitol I was definitely impressed. The chairs had leather treated rancor skin with wood coming from Kashyyk. Numerous imperial and Vast Empire flags adorned the walls along with some pictures of what seemed like previous battles. In the corners of the outer room stood Elite Troopers at guard. As soon as I entered Field Marshal Majere�s office I quickly sat down so I could scan the office. Majere�s office also had the leather chairs with flags and pictures along the walls. However my attention was quickly brought to the wall behind Field Marshal Majere. In a case of reinforced glass stood a tattered black hooded cloak with a black leather belt and lightsaber. The inscribing was in aurabesh so I was unable to read whom it belonged to. I decided that was going to be my first question for my interview. My attention was then drawn to Field Marshal Majere. He sat quietly behind his desk clad in his usual blood red uniform with the Field Marshal rank. He was a man in his early forties and a hansom muscular build. He had brown hair and eyes and his skin was a slight golden tan. It was at this time that he greeted me:

Majere: Greetings Kathline, it is a pleasure to be able to talk with you today.
Turner: The pleasure is all mine Field Marshal
Majere: Please, call me Caramon.
Turner: Thank you Caramon. Your palace is very beautiful; I like what you have done to the place. I was wondering where you got that cloak and lightsaber?
Majere: thank you, I have some very good people hard at work to make sure that this place remains beautiful. The cloak and saber that you have referred to belonged to a Dark Lord of the Sith. His name was William Vandar. I retrieved his cloak while looking for some sith artifacts. I found his cloak, manuscripts, lightsaber, and his holocron.
Turner: Wow, do you know what happened to him?
Majere: No
Turner: It is my understanding that you are having conduct problems with some of your naval officers. How do you respond to that?
Majere: I have a few officers that have received their rank prematurely. They have been reprimanded and informed that their childish behavior will not be tolerated.
Turner: How is Grand Moff Kadann and when is he scheduled to return to work?
Majere: Kadann is currently busy getting things squared away in his personal life before returning to work. During his absence he was able to work on a number of things that should bring glory to the Vast Empire. When he is able to fully return to us you can be sure that he will once again brighten up the place.
Turner: I heard that the Navy is having activity problems within its High Command. What do you plan to do about it?
Majere: Anyone found inactive will immediately loose their jobs and an investigation will be made to find out where they went. I have plenty of naval officers that would love to be promoted in their place.
Turner: How is General Spartacus doing in his new role as Prefect for the Army?
Majere: Already he has started reorganizing the army. The troops should be completely turned around in about a month. Once everything is squared away the Army will begin some heavy operations in the war along with some competitions with other imperial factions. Right now we have a limited amount of troops but that will all change very soon. General Spartacus is doing a fantastic job right now.
Turner: What is going to happen to the Intelligence Division that General Spartacus vacated?
Majere: It is officially closed until further notice.
Turner: What happened to General Viper, the former Army Prefect?
Majere: He has been transferred to the High Council Advisors ranks.
Turner: I heard that the Special Forces Division has a new Royal Guard in charge of Lion Group. What plans do you have in store for Lion Group?
Majere: Right now they are currently getting things set up on the SSD Mustang. They have also begun recruiting and everything should be operational by the end of the month.
Turner: The Engineering Corps is quickly becoming the best corporation in the galaxy. It is already making more money than the NCSA per day. However, it is still in debt by a big margin, which has hurt the Vast Empire as a whole. How are you going to recover from such a major debt and what do you have planned for the Engineering Corps for the future?
Majere: Yes, we have spent millions on the Engineering Corps. However, I have placed my utmost trust in CEO Threeof4 and he has not let me down so far. What he has planned so far will eventually bring our corporation to be the best in the galaxy.

Well I am being told that our time is up. I want to thank you for your interview and I look forward to our next meeting.
