Allright I can give you examples of how to create setting, plot, and adventure hooks. Be warned I only have a couple years of expeirience as a GM though.(remember this is an example) RPG System: Star Wars The Role Playing Game Era: Right after Thrawn Trilogy Area of space: The Varnus Quadrent Character restrictions: It would be nice if the characters had some pregame connection but it is not mandatory. Character Generation: Droid characters are generated as though they were living creatures with the following exceptions: The Force point allows a droid to counter the effect of various disabling devices, the Droid does not have every skill at thier disposal like living creatures do(this is a balncing measure for the next item), and Droids may trade skill die for armor plating as normal. Human characters would be preffered. Intro: As you (and your cohorts) enter the bar you notice it is empty of all but two people, the barkeep and a human male in the corner. The human gestures you over to his table and you feel compelled to do so. The man opens his mouth to speak. "I have a proposition for you (and your companions). I would like you to blow up the Intruder Wing ship MC-120 Darkstar. I am authorized to pay you 100,000 New Republic credits each, I am willing to give you 10% up front as well as a 25,000 bonous for each capital ship destroyed in addition to the Darkstar. Do we have a deal?" The man says. 100,000 credits is a lot even if it is NR script, and it is very unlikely you'll be able to show your face in Imperail space again if anyone ever figures out that you did this. Something tells me I might be getting "volunteered" for GMing in the near future, I knew I should have kept my mouth shut. Oh well too late now.RA(L) Daishi

That sounds so much like Daggerfall: THe Elder Scrolls... just the fact that at the beginnning you get a mission and the thing continues and get complex. ------------------ "Being Canadian is just like being next to a sleeping elephant." Lieutenant Colonel Kurtz Corporal Macross IP: 216.220.34.8 |

In all honesty except for some differences in the Intro that was the fisrt SWRPG campaign I ran, the second didn't turn out so well. I could put up what the carachters did in that campaign here if anyone wants but I doubt I'll remember it all correctlly as some of it has scared me for life.RA(L) Daishi ------------------ "Indecent exposure is fun."
