I was wondering what kinds of music you people us to inspire you when you write for the IOC story, or just for journeys or things like that. I'm currently writing a very big story, and I'm using a lot of John Williams, and James Horner(Star Wars, and Star Trek) music to inspire me. If there's a specific piece of music from either of those you like, let me know. I also like to use some of the music from the Mummy.

Let me know.

the Gladiator soundtrack has come in handy lately. Otherwise I just listen to my day-to-day music. Maybe if you found some anime soundtracks?

The music I listen to is mostly instrumental, Star Wars being the main one. But I find for battles, Braveheart is very good

Anything by Wagner.

Soundtracks to . . .
"The Robe"
"Quo Vadis"
"Braveheart"
"The Rock"
"Lord of the Dance"
"Star Wars: A New Hope"
"Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back"
"Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan"

Individual songs . . .
"Now We Are Free" track from 'Gladiator'.
"God Be With You" track from 'Devil's Own'.

Pretty much it depends on the mood/style of the writing.

I actually don't listen to any music while I am creating my fictions. Though when I do listen to music it is classical, including John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, and James Horner.
