1) Well in case everyone hasn�t already figured it out the High Council has decided to stay in the New Imperium for the time being. The main reason is because Diktat Dogger has done a magnificent job at coming up with a constitution that is working very well for the New Imperium.
2) It is my great pleasure to publicly announce the promotion of Brigadier General Christiana to the rank of Lieutenant General and the 6th seat on the High Council as the VE Ambassador. I have added a few things to her new job description and I think that she will do an outstanding job. Her new job will be:
a. Serve in the New Imperium as a VE Ambassador performing any job that they require of her.
b. Recruit other clubs to join the Vast Empire as either a separate division or part of an existing division.
c. Recruit other clubs to join the New Imperium on behalf of the Vast Empire.
d. Public relations between the Vast Empire and ALL current VE Allies.
e. Recruit members to join the Vast Empire (to include recruiting competitions).
f. Voting seat on the VE High Council and 6th in command of the Vast Empire.
g. Other misc. things that I need her to do to help improve the Vast Empire.
3) More great news, I am hereby officially opening the Vast Empire Dark Jedi Division! This new division is under recently promoted from Dark Lord of the Sith; Grand Master Kadann. Already he has approved a website where everyone can join. If you are not a VE member and you would like to join this new division you may do so my e-mailing Grand Master Kadann @ [email protected]. Congratulations Grand Master Kadann on a fine division. We now have 4 divisions competing for the Best Division of the Month award and it looks like GM Kadann is getting his jedi a jump start to hopefully catch up to the other divisions very quickly.
4) The VE Daily: Some of you know that I have a reporter doing some fiction on the message board under VE Lounge called The VE Daily. She posts information from time to time that can be very helpful to those that want to create fiction, graphics, missions, etc etc. I encourage everyone to go to the message board and read the VE Daily whenever a new issue comes out. Also, anyone that wants to do an article of his or her own can submit it to [email protected]. The article will be forwarded to the reporter where she will post it in the next VE Daily.
5) Monthly newsletter: At the end of this month I will come out with a monthly newsletter (mostly text and reports from each divisional leader for now). At first the monthly newsletter is not going to be pretty. For now it will include reports from each divisional leader and myself. I will announce news, The VE Daily, divisional competition news, current campaign news, submissions, and a misc. section. Everyone will be allowed to submit anything they want that has anything to do with the Vast Empire and Star Wars. In the monthly newsletter will be a monthly training exercise for all pilots and troopers to play. Anyone that completes the training exercises will be issued a certificate. The members with the most certificates will be eligible for promotion within their Division. Due date for submissions are the 20th of every month. Due date for emergency submissions is the 25th, and High Council submissions the 30th.
6) Weekly meetings: I have decided not to have weekly meetings anymore. I simply cannot run them because of my RL obligations. Very soon I will be taking a MCSE class, once that is done I will be trying for other certifications. So, this means that I will be posting my weekly reports every Tuesday on the main message board AND e-mailing it to my High Council members. If the Army and Navy wants to have their own meetings they may do so at their discretion.
7) The Vast Empire Campaign: No news currently on the development of these missions. This is mainly due to CEO Threeof4 and his people are very hard at work.
8) NI News � in the future this will be sent by LG Christiana. However, for now not much is going on within the New Imperium with the exception that everyone is getting used to the new constitution and getting ready to vote for another Diktat. I must admit that other club leaders have asked me to run for Diktat but I am not sure if that is in the best interest of the Vast Empire. My support remains with Diktat Dogger but if he does not want to run then I will think hard about possibly running for the position myself.
9) Finally, according to the last rosters that I have received here are some basic numbers to show how many people are in the Vast Empire:
a. High Council � 6 members
b. Dark Jedi Division � 9 members
c. Navy � 42 members
d. Engineering Corps � 4 members
e. Army � 25 members
f. Total � 86 members
So after the last few months in the slump we are now getting a steady stream of applications. This is due to the work that each and every one of you does on a daily basis. I commend all of you.
