The Vonsam System has six planets, detailed below. Tarnac I Potential mining. This planet features a variety of different land types. Both forrest, desert, tropical jungle, and a mixture of other terrain make up the planet. It also has both cold and warm climates.
Once a tropical paradise, now a dying world. Tarnac II archeological excavations show remnants of a pure species capable of space travel called the Sendu. This briliant species few philosphical scrolls that have survived the winds of time possess great insight in spiritual as well as philosophical enlightenment. Archeologists speculate that this may have been one of the most technologically advanced species in the universe during ancient times. This species' history and ruins even indicate possible mastery of the Light Side of the Force. However, somewhere another more primitive species appeared in Tarnac II's history called the Kratt. Speculation as to how this other race arrived is still in great mystery. Many archeologists theorize that this other species evolved slowly upwards from a reptilian speices also found on the planet. Whatever their origin, this new species began to contend with the Sendu. Despite their mastery of the force, the Kratt were able to breed faster, thereby outnumbering the Sendu until the older species was eventually conquered. A radical phase of history then begins on Tarnac II, with the Kratt as evil masters using the Bendu as their slaves. Many Sendu fled to Tarnac I to try and escape the horrid tyranny of the Kratt, however the majority of the Sendu did not. Tarnac III No mining potential. Only non-intelligence species have been found. No use for the planet has been discovered at this date.
Having a wide span of different types of resources, and minerals this planet is ideally the perfect choice as a systems headquarters for any fleet in the system. It also already has a developed economy which is very useful. Do to the abundance of resources available, the constant import of slaves is a must.
A planet that fits perfectly the description of being remote and is naturally a galactic hive of scum and villainy. Much like the planet of Tattooine and other desert worlds, Draconis has a large population of moisture farmers who sell the water they collect from their moisture vaporators to the other inhabitants of the world. However, in recent years competing with the import of barreled water from such worlds as Mon Calamari has lessened the moisture farmers profits. Lately, the question of an importation tax has been proposed by the moisture farmers. Besides the Sendu who came here after fleeing from their home-planet to Tarnac I, another species is on the planet named the Kekin. The Kekin are cunning small brown furry creatures which resemble a combination of the Ewok and the Jawa. They are mostly found in shady occupations, and will rather slit an enemy's throat in the night rather take them on directly. Kekin's are slow to temper, but lethal if driven to a certain point. One of the major exports of Draconis is the Lyran crystals. These crystals are mined beneath the desert in vast subterranean caverns. The reason for the popular demand of Lyran crystals is that it has been recently proven to add power to turbolaser batteries aboard capital ships. Many powers such as the Corporate Authority Sector, the Tion Hegemony and numerous pirate organizations are constantly purchasing more Lyran crystals. Hopefully, due to the sudden burst in economy that Draconis is experiencing because of the Lyran crystals, this prosperity will last a long time.
No mining potential. A heavy mist is always present on the planet making it easy to become lost without the proper equipment. This mist also has a technological interference which seems to hide any cities, technology, or population that can be detected by a sensor scan of an orbiting ship. This mist also disrupts communication. Legend has it that this planet contains a variation of the species known as the 'Rancor'. This legend has not been proven, however, the explorers of the planet were very reluctant to remain on the planet very long, do to the planet's mysterious and dark atmosphere. The majority of the planet, as well as the numerous enormous underground caverns which it contains beneath it's crust, are yet to be explorered. Possibly, this will be done by a second exploration group which decides to venture onto Wiztar.
